Cultural Programme

There is a very varied non-sporting program at KSP, with expertise offered by enthusiastic, and highly qualified and creative teachers.

Whether it is IT with Mr Lucas where computers are being taken apart and put back together again or learning to draw, paint or make 3D models with Mrs Carter in the Art Room or learning to play chess with Mrs Shaik or finding out how to look after the environment with Mrs Halse at Eco Club – children will enjoy learning new skills, developing new ideas and growing friendships outside the classroom environment.

Mrs Hughes and Mrs Grey are taking the junior and senior choir to new heights and enter musical festivals to showcase the amazing talents of these children. The sound of the marimbas and drums can be heard reverberating through the buildings during the week.

Our program helps develop children holistically, helps them find their niche and keeps their minds and bodies active, above and beyond the academics.

At Kloof Senior Primary our cultural programme includes:

  • Choir
  • Band (Marimbas)
  • Chess
  • Eco-Club
  • Art Club

Some of our annual events that we host on a rotation basis:

  • Whole School Concert
  • An Art Expo
  • Cultural Evening, where Song, Dance, Drama are presented as a class and selected learners with individual pieces.
